As the new year rolls around, many of us are making resolutions to better ourselves and our lives in the coming year. According to the Statista Global Consumer Survey, the top three New Year’s resolutions for Americans in 2023 are to exercise more, eat healthier, and lose weight. It’s no surprise that these are popular resolutions – who doesn’t want to be healthier and feel better about themselves?

Saving more money also ranked highly on the list of resolutions, coming in at number four. It was a year marked by high inflation, and many Americans are looking to take control of their finances in the new year. Other classic resolutions, such as spending more time with family and friends instead of on social media, also ranked highly in the survey. And with the stress and demands of work, it’s no surprise that 19% of American adults want to reduce stress on the job in 2023.

Less popular resolutions included reducing the use of alcohol and cigarettes, as well as doing more for the environment, such as becoming a vegetarian or vegan. Still, 10% of respondents were planning on making these changes in the new year.

As we look to the future and set our goals for 2023, it’s clear that Americans are focused on improving their health and well-being, both physically and financially. Whether it’s exercising more, eating healthier, saving money, or reducing stress, we’re all looking for ways to make the coming year our best yet.
